CUSTOM PRODUCT SAMPLING

Aircraft De-Icing

The aerospace industry is renowned for innovation and leading edge technology. Spraying with glycol was the only feasible method to satisfy FAA safety guidelines for ensuring that aircraft are properly deiced prior to take-off.

In conjunction with IR Energy's support in manufacturing expertise, Radiant Aviation Services designed a unique and patented heat exchange concept to meet the demanding design specification. Radiant's proprietary gas-fired InfraTek® energy producing units (EPU’s) generate infrared energy in targeted wavelengths to melt and evaporate ice and snow from an aircraft’s surface, - the world’s only infrared alternative to traditional glycol-based aircraft deicing. IR Energy manufactures the infrared heater units used in the InfraTek® system

Deicing Deicing-Continental Deicing-JFK-

'The key issue in deicing is throughput. For an airline to be successful, you not only have to deice the aircraft very precisely, but you have to do it as fast as you can because we have to get the aircraft out on the runway. With InfraTek, we have exceeded our best expectations, and we've matched or exceeded what we do at the deicing pad.'

Tobacco Stick Kiln System Retrofit

The Client's Requirement

Determine an easy, cost effective method to convert stick kilns used to dry tobacco, from direct-fired to indirect-fired operation.

The Solution

Using proven industrial infrared burner technology, IR Energy successfully engineered a system to retrofit the stick kilns on site. CSA approvals were obtained and production ensued supplying hi-capacity indirect heat with the use of multiple burners.
